Grr!! Am supposed to be doing homework. Well, I'm kind of in the middle of doing it. It's borinbg stuff though. Like, because of the Olympics, we'redoing this massive project on the Olympics in Society and Environment. I wouldn;t mind it , normally, I quite like the Olympics! But, Revi, my teacher (he doesn't deserve a Mr. ), is horrid and sets us crappy work.
But, to knitting, all is well. I haven't done any yet tonight, because of the mountains of homework, but I did some today. I take Textiles, see, and my teacher, as much as she bores me, encourages us to simply do what we enjoy, so long as she can mark it. So, I'm knitting myself the Honeymoon Cami from Knitty! Also have to do a write up on the history of the craft, and a how to. Shouldn't be too hard. Though, only have week to do it all. Plus all my English work. And SE. I'll die! Implode! Or explode...Which would feel worse. Either or!
When I was sitting there with my friend, knitting along, a newish girl came up to us and started talking. She's in my caregroup, so I kind of know her, but not really. Anyways, she was like, an illegal immigrant from Sirea(??) or something? She'd spent the last few years in a detention centre. That's horrible. It rally affected me, because as much as you hear about the treatment of the people int the detentiuon centres here, it never went any further with me. It wasn't like I didn't care, but..I don't know. Now that I actualy know someone who's lived there and been treated how they are, it's really brought it home for me. It's digusting what goes on in those places. I mean, these people are human beings! Howard doesn't give a crap, he's happy being Priminister, and at the moment, is struggling to keep his seat. I'd liek a "Knitters Against Howard" web-ring, like the "Knitters Against Bush" one. That would be good!
So, I think that's about all I have to say. I think I'm going to have to jazz up this template a little though. Not sure how yet. Maybe I'll just find another one? Not sure!!
Am listening to : Jem > "It's just a Ride" from the O.C soundtrack.
