..I think I've come to a decision. I think I'm going to have to frog Honeymoon. I love her, I really do. But he's just sitting there, useless...Using up yarn and needles. I'll probably never wear her in that yarn anyway, seeing as it's wool..Not cotton, wool. I will make her again, one day though. You never know, maybe even this summer. Why not just leave her till you come back, you ask? Because I need some gloves to keep the chill off of my hands..They just get so damn cold, even now that it's Spring to Summer. It's horrible. Also, surely there are many things that are more suitable for 4 ply wool. Maybe a nice lacey cap. Or a tiny first time ever felted project. I don't know yet. But something more useable will come out of it. The yarn will be happy. I will be happy. And, The needles can go on and start with the cotton I have for my Shapely tank. I have to go and do some mathematical calcultions..Because, the smallest bust size there is 36". I have about 34", smaller prolly. But, I would like to be able to grow into it a little. So I'm going to aim for a 34" bust on it. If I have a gauge of 22 sts to 4 inches, when the gauge that is called for is 20 sts to 4"...And you cast on 90 sts. That means that the bottom would be (90/20=4.5, then 4.5x4=18..This is because there are 20 stitches to four inches. If it was 20 sts to one inch, you wouldn't times it by anything afterwards, if it was 20 sts to 5 inches, you would times by five) 18 inches. Done in the right gauge. On my gauge, it would be (90/22=4.09090909099090909091x4=16.3636 etc") so we'll say 16 3/8". At the bottom. And at the bust. Multiplied by two (to get what the measurement would be almost 33". That could still work out, because if I add the short row bust shaping..Yes. What about the waist though...You decrease to 80 sts..Which menas that(on my gauge) it would be about 30" around. Hum..Well...That should work. It wont be tight. Prolly a little too baggy. I've got about a 24-25" waist. That's 5" off. Hmmm...I'll have to dcrease more. I want it to be a little bigger than 24, again, so I can grow into it...Eeeeh. I come home to escape maths! I'll stop sharing this with you, now. If you would like for me to help out with maths stuff, I'd quite like to help. Even though I claim not to like it, it's something that I'm generally good at, and I like to solve problems. Yes, If you need maths help, I can show you how to do it if you'd like. Just leave a comment. I'll work this tank out, I will I will I will. Do you like the pics below. You have to click on them to really take it all in and really "get" it. I really like the simplicity of the flowers in the second one. I really like that image. Bye bye, Thanks for listening to me crap on!
