Ooh. I woke up this morning, and thought "Monique, you don't need the computer, you can live without him. You don't need the sore aeyes and the late nights. You can entertain yourself and live a healthy, computer free life.". The plan was to have a totally screen-free day. No computer, no TV, no nothing. I folded. I turned it on because I needed music. I can't knit without music. I was never tempted, either to get up n dos tuff on here, either. We went out, to the Shopping Centre. Got some 4mm DPNs, a row counter, cheap and shotty, but at least it works, and some beading wire for my stitch markers. $9.45. I felt that was a bit of a rip off. Oh well. Came home. Knitted some more. Bummed around. Then, again, folded. Here I am. I found the good digi-cam. Family friends are lending it to us. For how long, I don't know. The driver isn't on my computer. So I'm downloading it now. But I don't think the ports on my USB Hub are..programmed or whatever. That almost made me sound like I knew what I was talking about, eh?
Now it's over. Well, we have chicken and chips for tea. Mum and tht have just gone out to get it now. After that, will be posting pictures which I took today..Like, of the cable that I did..Which is pitiful, even Mother, who thinks the little things in life that I do are "Great, Beekus! ('Beekus' is anickname which come form the family, fist it was 'Sticky Beak', then 'Stickey Beekus' then just plain old 'Beekus'! Evolution!)..Even Mother said "At least you tried"..Awww! I hadn't even payed it out yet! Must be really bad. But, I didn't mind doing it. So, I'll just keep doing it till it's good, then I'll keep doing the Durrow Cable (both mentioned with links to in previous post) until it's perfect. Then I'll buy Rouge. Yes, yes I will. Then I'll make her. Yes, yes I will.
Ooh, and something else which I was wanting to make was this : Raglan Cardie from Rare Yarns. I knwo the exact yarn which I'll be using, cheap and nastie, but it'll be my first ever cardie...first ever anything. I've never made anything bigger than Honeymoon, and I never even finished that! So, yeah. And it's not like it'll always be touching my skin. So, yes, I plan on just using some Cleckheatons Country 12 ply. Cheap yarn, but it's not that bad, I've used it before. It's very..Every stitch is defined, which is cool. I know you're sposed to use the boucle yarn..But I'm not paying that much money for something which I don't even like that much. If the pattern turns out really good, and I'm liking it, then I'll porlly make it again. I want to put a big collar on it. Some nice cables up the side. Though, that will prolly detract from the simplitcity of the whole thing. I don't know yet. But I know I'll be making it in a nice bottle green, seeing as I love the colour yet have no clothing in that colour. Only black, blues and browns. Thats my wardrobe. Thats it! Am off to experiment with "BloggerBot" and "hello"..Pics should be up!
