This is the Celtic Cable from Girl from Auntie. It was fairly wuick to do, knit up on doubled over 8ply (sport weight) and 5.5mm needles.
These are the yarns being used on my Penny. Hum. I've knit so many half and quater Penny's it's not funny, and each time I frog em, it's great coz the yarn just turns out the same! The colours are brighter in real life...
Though the picture is crappy, this shows the beads that I got from the Bead Hive in the city. For the green and purple ones, it was $1.50 for 10 grams..or was it 100 grams..Whatever. The wooden beads were two dollars, already in that packet, and the rings on the side were 15c each. Hum. Above them all are my sad attempts at my own stitch markers... The wire I got was cheap #24 gauge. I didn't know what I was buying though. I just bought it. I think I'll just use the rings. They're 4mm. Pfft, good enough. I use 4mm-2.75 needles too much, so that's cool.
