"When ever I come back, the air around us, is making the same sounds" Death Cab for Cutie's 'Movie Script Ending'
Argh. As much as I hate quizzes..I'm knid of addicted. I got an eMode nesletter today, and just clicked on the top link. This is what the quiz spat out:
It's a good thing a wild child like you has a cell phone to rescue you from sticky situations. Always on the go, you're a curious soul who loves to try new things and meet new people. You follow your heart and trust your instinct - whether it leads you to adventure in exotic places or start conversations with strangers.
While you're usually not the type to chat on the phone for hours, you never know when you might get lost and need directions or get hungry and need a restaurant recommendation. Sure, marching to your own drummer is nice, but you certainly know when it's time to call in for backup. Let's just hope you don't need that SOS any time soon.
Oh yes. I spose it's farily true. I'm wild child. I'm generally on the go, but that's the way I like it. Who wants to sit there and just bum around? Eeeh, I apparently have "chilblains". My fingers and toes are all that's affected. I think it's coz I'm always getting my feet wet, lately, like jumping around in puddles and stuff. And my hands. Well, normally, I used to wear gloves. i've stopped wearing them, because people coo at them and want to wear them and stuff. Then, I don't want to wear them once other poeple with their dirty grimy hands have worn them and smooshed them all over their faces and all. I'm big on "clean". My room is in a mess, but it's not "dirty", if you know what I mean?
As for knitting. Well, I haven't done much. If you recall, I was doing Honeymoon as part of a Textiles assignment? Well, I got 30 out of 36, which is just an "A". I felt I did well, though maybe deserved a couple more marks. Oh well. Here's what I got, broken down:
For the Actual Creation (Which included Honeymoon and a Teaching Aid, just a pamphlet teaching someone how to knit), I got 7/8
For the Planning, I got 5.5/8
For Investigation (Other Pattern Options, different yarns that could have been used), I got 6.5/8
For Self Evaluation (Saying what I could have done better, how I thought I went, etc), I got 7/8
For Independence and Motivation, I got 4/4
So yeah, I'm pretty ...not happy, but not dissapointed. I was pretty happy though, that I got 7/8 for the Creation, seeing as Honeymoon wasn't even finished! If I had've finished her, I prolly would've got full marks for that part. Wondering why it's all out of eight? Because of I.B, or the international Bacelaureate (I've got no idea how to spell it). Our school is becoming and IB school, so, they use IB marking schemes, apparently. I think teachers mark how they want.
Am still awaiting my yarns from Ozeyarn. Three days now. Though, we haven't cheacked the PO Box yet today, B (Mum's BF, I'll just call him B from now on, he's not my Dad, not my step-dad, he's my mum's partner. I have no problem with him at all, I quite like him. He respects me as a person, and also as a feamle, so thats good. In turn, I respect and appriciate him.) should hopefully check it on his way home from work. Hope he does. I was told to expect it within three to five days. Maybe that was working days..In that case, it's only been two. I ordered the stuff,I think, on Thusday night? But I got an email on Friday saying "your order has been dispatched". So, Friday, Saturday, Sunday..Monday. Hum. I'd better hurry up! Hope it's there! I want to take pics of my first ever net-yarn order!! B should be home soon...I hear doors opening and closing, I shall skip down the stairs and check!
Oh well. It was B, but he didn't check the PO Box. Mum and him are going to on their way up to the block. We're getting a new house, and Brett has owned this block of land since the eggingng of time, so it's always been "The Block" to us. Even when the house is built, I think it will still be The Block. It's nice. The house is MASSIVE!
Picture time!
This is the Double Knot Cable from Girl from Auntie. Haven't finished it, but will soon. It's good to do, I quite like cables. Especially loving these open and closed loop ones. I'm getting better each time I do them! Love it!
Making slow progress. I'll have it finished, Have about three weeks to get it done. This is double the gauge though, and takes heaps longer to do everything. If you look close, you can see the different colours, but serious, It's so much brighter in real life. (My altered Penny)
