Grr, I'm so stupid..Well, no, I wouldn't say that, more that I do stupid things...Well, whats the difference? Someone who is stupid is only stupid because they behave stupidly, no? Well...What happened i no big deal. But, I'm a little miffed. I knit the entire sleeve..A whole sleeve. In a 20sts/28rows gauge. Not bad. But it's mangled. The pic below looks ultra mangled because the stitch holder is too small. The worst bit is that I can't fix it, because I don't know what's wrong. In the schematics, it says that the cap should be 8cm from where you do the first bit of cap shaping. Mine is more like 4cm..Ugh. And, I did everything it said to do! Grr... I think I had to rip it anyways, because I did it in the large size, because I thought my gauge was off, when it wasn't. But still, that wont solve the problem.
Here's the begginings of the cabled sweater I'm making. It's Pattern 26 from Rebecca #27, the green one in the picture with the Apricot Jacket.
The MASS sleeve.
I'm really enjoying the cables. I love it! It's slow going though. I'm not arthritic, at all. But my hands have been hurting. I think it's because I'm cabling without a cable needle. The just irritate me. The way I hold the needles cause the muscles or tendons or whatever between my knuckles to hurt. And the webby bits between my fingers. But all of this is just on my left hand, and I'm right handed..I don't get it. It's some sort of repetitive thing because after a good nights sleep, I'll be knitting along, thinkg "yay, my hands don't hurt" when all of a sudden, the start. Well, maybe more gradually thatn "all of a sudden". But you get it.
