My own sewing box!! Yay, won't have to use Mum's anymore! It's all el-cheapo stuff, so everything in that pic ('cept the mat) cost $9. And, the guy at the counter was my old neighbor. Jai. He is cool. Easy to talk to. You know how sometimes you come across people who you don't really know, but would feel rude if you didn't actually ackowledge them as more than the person behind the counter, and then you both feel uncomfortable? Well, he's the only person who isn't actually a friend, or even an associate, who...didn't make it uncomfortable. Just thought I'd share that with you. A rare insight into the mind of moi.
And, a three days ago, I started my very own Apricot Jacket! That is the fron-left piece, and it took me two days because I kept not reading things properly. Im still not happy with the neck decreases, so I'll prolly have to rip and redo for what will literally be the fifth time! (Not wholly frog, just to where the arm and neck shaping starts..Not too bad)
And here's the start of an arm. Look at that fat needle!! 7mm when I was told I'd need maybe a 4.5/5 mm one!!
Now, that front piece is 70cm long. That's down to the end of my hips. Past my bum. I don't think it's sposed to be that long. And, with the yarn being partially cotton, it's prolly gonna stretch. So I think I'll be maybe re-knitting all of it. I think I'l knit both pieces at once. God, I wish I had a ball-winder. I think I'll get one with my X-Mas money. Yeah, tha'ts what I'll do.
It's brother H's Birthday today, he's ten. After the giving of the gifts, we hurriedly got clean and dressed, and went and saw "Meet the Fockers". It's a great movie. Great actors. It was actually better than the first one!! Everyone should see it, whether or not you liked "Meet the Parents"!
Hm. I think that's about it.
WAIT!!!! Christmas!?! Yes, Christmas. That was good. Quite good, actually.
Woke up in the morning, recieved and gave gifts, ate cake or something for brekkie.
Visited M and sons. She fed us ham and cheese *what is that French roll...? I can't remember the name for life of me :'(* while we watched the nightmare before Christmas.
Lunch: Loverly Chinese. We had a banquet. I was going to burst, but I just had to keep eating. It was so nice!
Auntie G and S and son came and went. C and children came. They hung round for a while. We children decided to ditch the oldies and went down to the Primary School. People were there. People who were throwing things and these little wooden castels that they had set up on the oval. I didn't get it. Very weird. We also tried to climb rooves of buildings while we were there. It was our little thirll. I wasnt tall enough o be able to reach everything. I probably could've gotten up, but there's no way I was gonna be able to get down.
And that's it. Bye bye.
