No Excuse.
In the last few days, I've watched some of the best movies I've seen in my life. "Garden State"...My God. I just finished that. It's a really beautiful movie. I am a little emotional, it's that time of the month..But right now, I'm feeling really...Touched. It was just such a nice story, and I felt empathy and like I was in there, watching it play out in real life. Zach Braff is so...cool. He wrote that story, so he must have been really feeling it all. I'd love to know what inspired him to write a story like that. Something in his life must've...done something to him. It's just a reallly...nice movie to watch. I spose you could call it a chick-flick, though..But...Aahh, it was refreshing. I want to meet someone like the guy Zach Braff played, I want to be Samantha. You know?
I don't know that It'll do so well in Australia, I don't know when it'll open here, or if it already has...It was another copied DVD.
As was Wicker Park. Now that was WEIRD. But interesting. And that made me want to meet the guy that Josh Hartnett played. I was close to tears, I think, he just loved her so much.
Also watched "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind". I was confused at first, but it did mostly sort itself out in the end. I think it's one of those movies that you have to watch a couple of times, but I don't know that I'll bother. It left me slightly dazed though, you know, like I'd just woken up from a different world. Wow, there's something wrong with me lately, I'll spare you from more ramlbings.
Aaanyways, next on the pile is "Ladder 49", which I doubt very much is going to be anywhere near as deep as either of the last movies mentioned.
Happy New Year, eh? What'd everyone do? We (as a family) were gonna go down to Glenelg and watch the fire works. But I just couldn't, I was going to collapse from PAIN. So I sat in bed most of the night watching "Blonde", the Marilyn Monroe movie. That made me sad, too. Poor girl... I never knew much about Marilyn Monroe..I hope that movie was close to the factual bits. Then, i watched the fire works. Then I think I fell asleep. BORING. Apologies.
Pictures? No, I have none. I have been doing little knitting, I've tried on the Zopfullover many times, hoping that maybe it'll have stretched or just magically gotten longer or something. It hasn't.
I did join Alisons Sockapalooza, though.
No work, I think I'm going to have to call and remind them that I've been employed there and am waiting. They told me I'd get a call, but I haven't, which annoys me, coz I believed. So, on Monday I'm gonna give em a call. I hadn't gotten around to it because of all the public holidays and the centre being closed and everything. By Monday there's no excuse. So, Monday it is.
Chantal and Talia wanted me to go see "Team America" with them tongiht. If I remember correctly, it was me who called Talia to see if she wanted to come, but she was in Melbourne at the time. And then I told her I didn't want to go to Chantal's tonight, plus I thought we were gonna see the fire-works. And that today B's mum and dad were coming over. So..I don't get it. I think I'll go anyways. Wait, now I am going, I'll just take lots of pain killer type drugs before I go.
Hm. That's about it. Se, I don't do much.
WAIT. Yesterday, we went to the pool. My family and C and her kids. That was really fun. I met a guy called Habib. There's this TV show, "Fat Pizza". And one of the guys always goes "OH MY GOD, HABIB!!" whenever somethign happens. And my brothers always say it now. And being around them makes me say it. And then we met a real-lif, in-the-flesh Habib. Hehe. He was cool. Someone I'd like to be friends with.
Mel and I are gonna go to the pool soon, just us I think. Chantal thinks it's dirty, and Talia get's burnt too quick. So, remind me!!
Alright, enough rambly crap. Sorry to bore you. So long...
