I was just wanting to remind everyone where my new blog is. It's not so new anymore, but still. So here's my new address: http://ashik0.auriae.org, hosted by Krysta! So don't forget to update your stuff! Thanks!
I think I would like to start entering the "Month of Softies". It's a great idea, and something to keep me focused that happens every month, you know? I really need to get out more. I need some sort of sport hobby. I'm going to join the netball team this year. For sure. I was int he Special Interest Program, but I was getting bored with such a commitment, it took away two subject choices..And I didn't really like anyone in the class.
Ok, from now onwards, I will be blogging at the shiney, newblog!! So just, head on over there, change links and whatever, you know the deal! Hope you like it!
I'm going to leave this blog up though, for archives and all. I still have to get that all happening, too. I did as much as I could tonight, with uploading stuff...But, GAWD!! I need to go to sleep! Bye bye guys, and bye bye blog!
Oh. MY. GOD. I love this, it's so cute but skanky, which I think was the point. I wish we got "Project Runway" here in Australia. Anyone taped it and willing to send? Or is actually not that good?
Finito Zopfpullover!!

Alright. I do like this yarn, but it's kind of getting fluffy already (like I've been wearing this sweater for years). As for the collar troubles...I just got sick of it all and cast off all remaining stitches, then double-crocheted around the top. I kind of fold the front bit under so there's more room around my neck and it ends up look ballerina-ish. Very cute, if i do say so myself! I'm pleased with it, really, all I need to do it somehow make it stay folded down (when I fold it down, you can't see where I started doing the neck decreases or anything, because it loks REALLY bad. But itr kind of keeps flipping up and unfolding itself)
I'll do some better pic later. I tried to get my little bro to take some good ones of my, that were bigger (my arms aren't really long enough to do anything 'cept close-ups!) but...let's just say, he'll never grow up to be a famous photographer.)
Also. Good news. Two good news's. 1- I have Macca's "training" tomorrow! Yay!..2- I started on the dress. I've sewed the front and backs bodice pieces together, and then sewed them to their respective skirt pieces. All I have to do is the upper bit which has elastic to hold it up, do the zip and the hook and eye, the straps (I think I'll do a halter neck) and hem it. I wont be hemming it that much, not at all, because I had to shorten it to make all the pieces fit! The dress is going to be gorgeous, though! The fabric and design make it so vintagey (and I'm not referring to the 80's when I say vintage, I mean nothing before the 50's)..Kind of like the house maid or something? IT's really cool looking, anyways. I don't know how often I'll actually be getting to wear this one, though. Aaand, winter is on it's way! Well..I have a month of February, I spose, and maybe a little of Autumn..But that's not as dramatic, no?
Oh yeah, and the new blog design is coming along nicely. I had to just make a new one after I mangled the other one. I dunno what I did wrong. Haven't even looked at it though. But everything's looking good. Yay!!

She finished the sock! Too big. Waaay too big. Here's to my foot being 2 inches smaller than Angelas! Very quick post, I know, but I really do have to get going on my dress (I managed to squeeze the pieces into 30cm less fabric than whaat was needed!!). I'm doing all I can until I need the zip, hook and eye closure and my steely blue ribbon! Bye bye!

Oooh!! I got this in the mail today from Carolynn! Yay!
Vintage Knits by Sarah Dallas
And I broke the new layout. I haven't done any more on the socks, either. Today has been less than productive. So, I'm off to try to work out how I killed the new layout, knit some sockage and see whats for tea! Oh yeah, and Dad got the sweater for Bonsai, as soon as I get the pictures, I'll put em up here.

I thought I killed my computer. It was a horrible moment. I truley hope it never happens again. Want to hear the story? So simple. I got a new mouse. $20. Post Office Brand (yes, the same post office that has no postcards!!). Read instructions. Tried to install. Discovered it was a USB mouse as well as mouse with green plug. Removed green adapter and use USB cord. Reset computer. Computer claims it needs to "Boot from Disk". Panick. Reset. Still broken. Run out of room. Tell mother. Wait for B to come home... B pointed out to me that the BIOS hasn't been enabled to detect USB mice or keyboards. DAMN, wish I had've known!! But it's so cute! It's all working now, I used the green adapter thing. It's about as big as the palm of my hand, and all silver and grey and shiney. I won a double pass to go see "Elektra"! I mean, if I had the choice, that wouldn't have been mine, but I WON!!! And over the past few days, I've earnt over $20 from a $1 scratchie! Never quite what I wanted, but you know?! It feels good! So, Mum's been wanting to see it. We'll go together. Should be good. Have to pick up the tickets on the 27th (day before my birthday *wink*wink*). Got whole lot of books from the library. Including one about SQL. I don't even know what that is..But I figure it's good to know these things because Krysta is going host my blog (once it's been set up and everything)!! And it's going to use Wordpress. Which needs an "SQL database"..I don't even know what that is! I'm gonna have a new layout, too, which I'm working on now. I realize that I'm not a girly girl, and that pink is sposed to be "girly", and that pink is always the common colour in all my desgins. I know, I know. I don't even like the colour. But it's so..good with green. And now black. Yay! Screen shot of what it'll look like (so far):
Hm, that border around the i-Frame shouldn't be there, though. I don't know how to get rid of it!! I've put "border=0" everywhere!...But it wont leave!
And a pic of the sock so far (oh yeah, the yarn came on..Wednesday? Tuesday. In the afternoon. I dunno. I mnea, I like it..But it's kind of kiddish. It's cute using the real definition of the word (ie;attractive in childlike way: endearingly attractive in the way that some children and young animals are,so ugly it's attractive). Gawd, I hope she likes em!!
I swear it looks better in real life! And to my Sock Pal...Tell me you're alii-ve!

See, Max, what more proof do you need that I'm COOL? Eh? :P 9% loser. I was kind of hoping for more so I could be proud and laugh. But, sorry, I'm just too cool, there's no way to escappe my coolness Max. And, would you be so kind to pass my results onto Adam and Tyson for me. Danke :P
Unstuffed head and body of knitted lamb. Part of a nativity scene pattern which I recieved in the mail yesterday form GlittrGrl..I hope it turns out alright. The good thing is that it's gotten Mum into knitting again, because she wants a little herd for herself.
My scrappy needle roll I wipped up last night.
Opened..Wooden needles are unfinished pine dowel, not expesive bamboo. I like my aluminium ones mucho better.
$2 remmnant fabric from Spotlight visit yesterday.
$5 pattern which I will manage to get out of the remmnant fabric (the pattern says you need 1.6 metres..I have 1.3..I can do this!!). I reckon I'm gonna make it a halter neck, with the straps made out of a satiny ribbon, really thick. With the same ribbon (a nice bright, steely, velvety blue), I will tie a nice bow round the waist to sit at the back. It'll look really cute. Yes, I do have big plans for this fabric!
And here we have the only knitty thing I have been working on..And slowly at that.
Flower Basket Shawl on 5.5mm needles. It's off the needles because I'm going to start it again, too many badly covered mistakes. But, I'm not really sure if I should do it with the 4mm needles of the 5.5mm. 3 size difference. Hmm. I don't know which one looks best? Scroll down the the last post, or maybe the post before, and you'll see the one on 4mm needles. Hm. I'm not sure which I like :'(
And l'order de sock yarn has been dispatched. Recieved and email of notification..a couple of days ago? Yesterday? I dunno. But I'm not execting it here before Friday. Which SUCKS to no end. I'm so behind compared to everyone else in the Sockapalooza. I'm so used to being ahead of everyone and finishing first..And, ooh, theHORROR!!
I AM 58% ASSHOLE/BITCH!
I am abrasive, some people really hate me, but there may be a group of other tight knit assholes and bitches that I can hang out with and get me. Everybody else? Fuck ‘em.
I cut out and interfaced all my hat pieces. (The paper is the printed out instructions for the hat. I use "Wild Things!" by Wild Ginger.)
I killed the sewing machine. No, not really, but it was my fault that it wasn't working. Excuse: Because I use Bernina's at school, I wasn't threading the threading right, I kept missing a hook. Oh well. Least it's working now! And I actually know how to use it. It's a great machine.
The hat on the other hand..IT's CRAP. C-R-A-P. I haven't finished it yet, I'm not sure that I will. It's all stiff and pointy and CRAP. I'm angry. And now I've gotten to a point where I have to laborously baste some pieces together by hadn, and can't jst munch through them on the machine. I think it will lie in it's current state for many a long day.
Angela's socks toe. Loooove this yarn. Donna let me know that the Bendigo Woolen Mills sell the same stuff (under the name "Harmony") for $11 for 200g. If I were to buy 200g of the Breeze, it would cost over $20. So this is a very good saving, which I'm quite happy about! They don't have a website, but you can call them on +61 (03) 5442 4600. ("+61" is our country's code, the (03) is the code for Victoria, and then the rest is the phone number..There's a special toll free number if you're in North America, but you'll have to google that.) Today's Sunday so I can't call to get my sample card, but I will first thing tomorrow morning.
The Flower Basket Shawl. Almost one complete repeat of the Lower Chart or something? The second chart. I'm going to rip that out (again, when I start the latest one it'll be the 6th time I've cast on for this) and knit it on bigger needles. It's just not getting that open, lacy look. And honestly, those leaves or whatever are tiny compared to the ones on the model.
